Canceled

Personal

I canceled my Warhammer subscription yesterday. I’ve been averaging about 10 hours of game time a week (time to play ANY game, not just WAR) the last couple of months — less during the several weeks I was sick. I’ve been having more fun playing EQ2 and my alts in WAR than playing my level 26 White Lion. So, I decided the WAR sub could go. In the event I change my mind, I can always resubscribe.

Since the original point of this blog was my infatuation with Warhammer, I will be letting the blog lie fallow as well and not renewing the domain name come July. It was fun while it lasted.

Thank you to all the folks who’ve visited the blog and especially to my commentors. It’s been fun!

Better Weekend This Time

Everquest 2, Everquest II, Football, Personal, Warhammer Online

This weekend was quite a bit better than last weekend. I spent last weekend sick in bed and while I’m not 100% I didn’t have to take any naps the last four days. I guess I will need to go back to the doctor, because I’m still coughing a lot and my ears are plugged up — I can’t hear anything. Every once in awhile I can tug on my ear lobe and open the passage for a few minutes, but mostly everything is muffled as if my head were full of cotton — or something even more sound absorbent.

I got a bit of EQ2 time in this weekend. I leveled my two level 17 alts, a paladin and an a fury up to level 20 so they could ride their bears. I bought them level 20 armor and they are looking, and feeling, quite spiffy. Today I spent several hours on Esri, my Kerra Guardian main, and got her to level 62 and purchased new armor for her as well. I got her a whole set of Xegonite Vanguard, minus the gauntlets. I ran out of money even though I made all the alts send her everything they had above 20 gold… She gave most of it to them, so I don’t feel too badly.

I went from just under level 61 to level 62 by running the Fallen Dynasty quests up to the first floor of the Tower of the Whistling Fist Clan and then doing a couple of quests in Loping Plains - Dire Wolf Whispered and Hexed and Vexed. Both the alts leveled from 17 to 20-1/2 in Antonica. They each did the old Frostfell tree quest and several quests out there in Antonica.

I’m getting ready to spend about an hour and a half in Warhammer on Esri, the White Lion. I’m hoping I can get her the rest of the way to level 27.

All in all, a pretty good weekend. Got my chores done, including picking up new glasses in Savannah and paying bills, and got a good bit of gaming that I’ve been missing since I’ve been sick. I watched the two playoff football games yesterday, but none today — since I don’t have a dog in that hunt. I’m looking forward to next weekend’s games. Hope everyone else had a good weekend and I wish all a Happy New Year!

Hope All Had Happy Holidays

Personal

Mine were spent sick in bed — I got ANOTHER nasty cold on top of the one I was not quite over. This is the first time in 5 days that I’ve spent more than 5 minutes at the computer. I have EQII running in the background — the Frostfell music is getting old about now. ;) I still have two alts to get Frostfell cloaks for and I’d like to upgrade Esri’s Frostfell tree, but we’ll see how long I can make it. I need to go to work tomorrow — my boss was supposed to be on leave this week, but she was sick last week (hmmm.. sounds like she’s a suspect in the “who gave me this crap?” investigation!). We have some stuff we need to get decided and after next week things are going to get really busy again.

I can’t believe I spent a whole 4 day weekend sick in bed… Well, I have another one this weekend. Maybe I’ll get some play time in then.

Hope everyone else had a better holiday!

An Alt-alicious Evening

Everquest 2, Everquest II

I spent a lovely evening, over three hours, in EQ2 last night. I collected Frostfell gifts on all my alts. I also /claimed the Dire Bears for all of them. I have three alts just over level 20 and the bear mounts were their first mounts. The baby bears for the 3 level 17s were very cute as well. In addition to Frostfell gifts I did citizenship quests on two alts — one from Gorowyn to Neriak and one from Kelethin to Qeynos. I was happy to leave both Gorowyn and Kelethin behind — I hate the layout of both cities. I did the Frostfell tree quest in Gorowyn before making the final decision to swap cities on Ezri, Sarnak Shadowknight — gah, I hate Gorowyn! I’m not terribly fond of either Freeport or Neriak either, but decided on Neriak for the time being.

Tonight will probably be more EQ2. I really want to do some Frostfell quests on the alts. I have a four day weekend this week and next, so I’ll spend at least a couple of off days in War. Their Keg’s End event is not nearly as fun as Frostfell! I may spend some time on Esri in EQ2 as well, she’s about 95% to level 61 and I’d like to get her to 62 so I can get her some new armor.
