Intra-Guild Drama Over Keep Contention Possible?

Zizlak had an interesting piece over at Zizlak’s Travel Diary about the possibility of intra-guild drama over rights to plant a banner at a keep captured cooperatively. Two (or more) guilds ally to take a keep. Who gets to plant their banner(and get points toward leveling their guild)? Will there be in-game tools to help decide the matter?

Marketing Games to Girls?

Please note I did not say “Marketing Games to Women?”. Spinks over at The Book of Grudges has a good post today about how games are marketed to a “girly” audience. A Madden-themed slumber party anyone? Check out her idea to market Warhammer Online to girls who do battle against weeds in the garden and act as the fashion police.

An 18 Hour Encounter?

The Escapist has an article about an encounter in Final Fantasy XI that apparently takes over 18 hours to defeat. One linkshell (a Final Fantasy guild) went at the boss mob for over 18 hours until people started vomiting and passing out. The food for thought at the end of the article is whether it’s up to the devs to keep their encounters to a reasonable duration (hint: 18 hours is NOT reasonable) or should players be smart enough to quit before they start passing out?

Slightly Longer Look at the New WAR Cinematic
